Who is Mira Murati and is she from Albania? – How ChatGPT answers questions about the famous engineer

The ChatGPT platform has gained quite a lot of popularity among users since it was launched a year ago, by the well-known company OpenAI.

Users can communicate with ChatGPT and ask it about many things that interest them and so the chatbot answers them specifically without having to spend a lot of time on internet search engines, reports the Telegraph.

However, we asked him an interesting question: "Who is Mira Murati?", and the answer we got was surprising.

For those in the know, Albanian engineer Mira Murati is the Chief Technology Officer at OpenAI, who specifically oversaw the launch of ChatGPT as well as other tools from the company.

In the free version, or ChatGPT 3.5, the chatbot did not answer the question about who Murat really was, instead the platform gave a generic answer.

“As of my last knowledge update in January 2022 I have no information about an individual named Mira Murati. It is possible that she is not a public figure or widely known, or she gained prominence after my last update. If Mira Murati is a private person or someone who became known after 2022, I would not have information about her. If it is related to a certain field or profession, you may want to check more recent sources, such as social media, news articles, or other online platforms for the latest information about it,” was the response that released version 3.5 of ChatGPT.

However, we got a different answer in the paid version of GPT-4-Turbo, also the most updated version.

With the same question, this version gave us this answer when we asked who Mira Murati is:

Out of curiosity, we also asked about her background, until in numerous interviews she has mentioned that she comes from Albania and that she completed her first years of schooling there.
