What did the defendant say in court about the terrorist attack against the Ibër-Lepenci canal?

The Court of Pristina has set a one-month detention measure for Dragisha Viqentijevic, arrested on suspicion of having participated in the terrorist attack carried out against the Ibër-Lepenci water channel in the Zubin Potok area on 29.11.2024.

The appointment of the measure of detention was confirmed by the defendant's lawyer, lawyer Milosh Dellović.

In a press conference after the end of the session at the Court of Pristina, lawyer Delleviq said that his client has not accepted the guilt.

According to the lawyer, the defendant said that at the time when the attack on the Ibër-Lepenci canal took place, he was in a completely different place and that there are many witnesses to this.

"The fact that wet and dirty boots and weapons were found in someone's home cannot be sufficient evidence to support the accusations of committing these serious criminal acts. At that time, he was in a completely different place, where there were many witnesses" - said lawyer Dellovic.

The lawyer said that he believes that Dragisha Viqentijevic will prove his innocence during the investigative process.

Regarding the terrorist act, the Security Council of Kosovo held an extraordinary meeting at 01:30 am on 30.11.2024.

At the meeting, according to a press release, the possible connection of yesterday's case with a similar Russian attack in Ukraine last week was discussed.

In this meeting, the emergency measures that were taken and are being taken to mitigate the consequences of the attack and to guarantee the safety of the critical infrastructure in the country were also discussed.
