The Kosovo Police, namely the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination and cooperation with other relevant units of the Kosovo Police and justice institutions, on 05.01.2026, extradited a Turkish citizen from Kosovo to Turkey.
The Kosovo Police statement states that the suspect was arrested by Kosovo Police units after he was wanted on an international arrest warrant issued by Turkish justice institutions on suspicion of involvement in criminal acts.
"Sexual exploitation of a child" and "Deprivation of the freedom of a child", sanctioned according to the Turkish penal code. The extradition was carried out thanks to the cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and those of Turkey, the statement reads, reported by Telegrafi.
