Vetëvendosje Movement MP Fatos Geci has openly spoken out against the resolution adopted by the Kosovo Assembly regarding the Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor's Office, describing it as a document aimed at protecting individuals.
The Kosovo Assembly approved the resolution proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo with 90 votes in favor and only one against, namely Geci's.
The resolution contains seven points and requires the Specialist Chambers and the Office of the Prosecutor to act in accordance with constitutional and international standards, guaranteeing a fair and impartial process, as well as increasing transparency and accountability.
However, on Debat Plus, Geci criticized its content.
"In general, I am against the leaders, not of the KLA but of individuals, and I am very proud of the action I took. The text talks about the protection of individuals who are in The Hague, in the Special Court," Geci said.
