Severe storm casualties and damage in the US – tornadoes and hail threaten millions of Americans

Six people have died after powerful storms hit large parts of the US.

Authorities in Missouri say three people died there, while three others were killed in car accidents during storms in Texas.

It is known that about 138 million people are at risk of severe weather in the central and southern states of the US.

Tornado warnings have been issued for parts of Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Indiana and Kentucky, writes sky news, the Telegraph reports.

In Missouri, where a state of emergency was declared on Friday, EF2 tornadoes are expected, requiring wind speeds between 181-252 mph (XNUMX-XNUMX km/h).

Large vehicles were also photographed overturned across the state.

The extreme weather is reported to have destroyed buildings, disrupted power supplies and caused at least 100 fires in several states.
