Up to five meters of snow, the road to Theth is blocked by avalanches

The traces of the highway from Qafa e Thores to the tourist point of Theth have disappeared from the snow, which in certain segments reaches up to five meters.

Snow plows have tried several times to clear it, but successive avalanches do not allow progress, Top Channel reports.

This is also the end point where the snowplows have gone and it cannot be continued any further. From here to Theth, it takes at least three more hours on foot. This has paralyzed not only the movement of residents but also tourism in Theth.

We only work with snowplows in the afternoon because earlier, the temperatures favor the detachment of snow from the mountains.

Four years ago, when the government presented the road project, the residents of Theth objected to its construction with three small tunnels because according to them, the area has many avalanches and they asked for a single tunnel, 1 kilometers long, that would avoid the snow and blocking, but their request was not heard and these are the results. /Telegraph/
