Uncertainty whether they will use northern schools for the April 21 vote

Even now there is uncertainty as to whether the schools of the municipalities in the north will be able to be used as voting centers on April 21, when the citizens will declare for or against the dismissal of the current mayors. 

Warnings that schools may not be accessible for voting on April 21 in the northern municipalities have reached the ears of the Central Election Commission (CEC).

Therefore, this institution sent a letter to each municipality two days ago.

Through them, he asked to be given information about the condition of these objects.

"Our planning and the whole process until now has been oriented towards voting centers in schools. Therefore, until now I do not have an answer if the voting will take place in containers. We are in communication with the mayors of municipalities and other institutions, which should provide us with access to schools", said Arianit Elshani, member of the PDK in the CEC.

The mayor of Zubin Potok has told TV Dukagjin that he has notified the CEC that any facility owned by the municipality can be used as a voting center.

The television has also communicated with officials of the municipality of Leposaviqi and they said that they have not received any request from the CEC with a specific request for the use of the facilities to use them as voting centers.

But he is reluctant to declare himself to someone else.

The boycott of last year's elections by Lista Serbe had meant that schools could not be used as polling stations, and early local elections in the north were held in makeshift containers as polling stations.

This largest political entity of the Serbs has warned of a similar boycott against the April 21 vote for the dismissal or not of the current presidents from the Albanian parties.
