The Institute of Public Health in Albania has today confirmed the presence of new variants of the coronavirus, BA1 Omicron and BA2 Omicron.
ISHP announces that the two variants BA1 of Omikron and BA2 are present in Albania, after analyzing 556 samples.
According to the results of the tests arrived from Germany, 86% of the samples sent were with the BA2 variant.
"The distribution of BA2 cases is higher in the community compared to hospital cases. As has happened in other countries, it is likely that this variant will become a dominant variant compared to other variants due to high transmissibility", says ISHP in a statement to the media.
According to experts, vaccination is the best defense to protect against all variants of Covid-19. /Telegraph/
