Twitter is applying a temporary measure where it will limit the number of posts that users can read in a day, said Elon Musk.
In a tweet, Musk said that unverified accounts will have access to up to 600 posts per day, reports the Telegraph.
To address extreme levels of data scraping & system manipulation, we've applied the following temporary limits:
– Verified accounts are limited to reading 6000 posts/day
– Unverified accounts to 600 posts/day
– New unverified accounts up to 300/day- Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 1, 2023
Meanwhile, verified accounts will be temporarily limited to reading 6,000 posts per day.
Musk also wrote that there will be more restrictions on new accounts without verification. According to him, these users will have access to only 300 posts per day.
In a statement, he said these temporary restrictive measures were put in place to address "extreme levels" of data exfiltration and system manipulation.
During the day, it was reported that Twitter will also not allow access to the platform's posts if users are not logged in. /Telegraph/
