Tomas Guidara opens the door to Albania: I am in contact with the Albanian Football Association, I want to learn more about my roots

Defender Tomas Guidara, who has represented Argentina at youth level, has publicly expressed his willingness to play for Albania.
Guidara first came to the fore when Sylvinho mentioned that he had found an Albanian in Argentina. Now, for the first time, the footballer who defends the Hurucan jersey has admitted that he wants to play for the "Red and Black".
He told "Panorama Sport" that he wants to learn more about his Albanian roots and that he is in contact with the Albanian Football Association.
"To be honest, it really caught my attention and I was excited when I found out that a national team showed interest in me. It's always something very beautiful and motivating when you see that your work and dedication are appreciated at such a level, and it makes you feel recognized and part of something bigger than yourself."

"Honestly, I know very little about my Albanian background. It's something that has always aroused my curiosity and desire to learn more, but at the moment I have no direct contact with people from Albania or the Arbëresh community, which I would like to change in the future."
He added that he is in contact with the Albanian Football Association, and is open to eventually representing Albania.
"Yes, there was contact. The Albanian Football Federation communicated directly with both me and my representative, expressing their interest in having me on the team. It was a very positive feeling and a sign that my work is appreciated abroad," he stated.
Otherwise, it is not known whether Guidara has an Albanian passport and whether he can be invited by Sylvinho for the matches in March, as part of the World Cup play-off semi-finals.Telegrafi/
