You may be one of those girls who has a wardrobe full of beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories, but you still surprise yourself because you always end up wearing the same clothes.

However, there seems to be a psychological explanation behind this phenomenon, according to psychologist Elisa Castellano.

1. We prefer to stay in our comfort zone

Wearing clothes that don't fit our daily routine, that we haven't worn in a long time, or that we've never worn, requires us to step out of our comfort zone. The sweater we know well, the pants that are comfortable, the shirt that got us so many compliments, all these clothes make us feel super comfortable. We think we're not taking any risks, so we end up wearing the same clothes all the time.

2. We create clothing habits

Wearing the same clothes repeatedly signals a need to stick to our habits and a fear of change. People who never dare to try new things and always stick to the same outfits and combinations prefer not to risk attracting attention. Routine, even in clothing, often serves as a protective shield.

3. We save time

Another reason to stick to the same outfits is time management. If you don't have time every morning, you've just woken up and your brain hasn't yet started to process the first information, you certainly won't be able to experiment with new combinations or outfits and you'll end up wearing the same things .

What should you do?

If you notice that you always wear the same things and feel like you have nothing to wear, you should take stock of the things you have, from clothes to accessories, bags or shoes.

We often think we have nothing useful or carry things we haven't worn in years, leading to piles of clothes and a lot of clutter. And all this mess is also reflected in your state of mind, quotes Anabel.

That means it's time to get organized! Take a weekend to do a cleaning, especially from things you haven't worn in a while, organize your closet, drawers and start educating yourself to be more organized. /Telegraph/
