This truck broke the world record after traveling about 2900 kilometers "on a single filling"

A heavy-duty hydrogen truck recently set a world record by traveling 1806 miles (about 2906 kilometers) on a single fill-up.

The clean energy brand Accelera announced the stunning achievement of their prototype H2Rescue, an electric truck with "hydrogen fuel cells", foreign media write, Telegraph reports.

Best of all, the truck remarkably contributed no air pollution during its marathon journey.

To make things "even more serious" on the world record side, a member of the Guinness Book of World Records was present everywhere.

The H2Rescue was powered by a 250-kilowatt traction motor that consumed 168 kilograms of the 175 kilograms of hydrogen brought on board.

The trip represents a major proof of concept for vehicles of this type as an alternative to diesel vehicles.

Accelera teamed up with the Department of Homeland Security, the Science and Technology Administration, the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense on the project. /Telegraph/
