Pears in red wine are a treat to remember!

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie launched Rose with her cellar label at Miraval Castle a few years ago.

With wine, but red, she makes a favorite dessert, which we could call "drunk pears", Telegrafi reports.


Ingredients:

– 8 pears;
- brown sugar;
– 1 star anise;
- cinnamon;
- lemon;
– sweet red wine
– ice cream or cream to complete.

Preparation:

Peel the pears, trying to keep their shape as much as possible (use a peeler) and save the stem.

Cut a thin slice from the bottom so that the pear stands vertically.

Heat a glass of wine in a small saucepan together with 30 g of sugar, 1 star anise, a stick of cinnamon and the zest of 1 lemon cut into strips.

When it boils, boil everything for 3-4 minutes.

Arrange the pears vertically next to each other in a "slow cooker", add the wine and simmer on low heat for 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Halfway through cooking, toss them with the previously prepared sauce so that they dip and have a nice color.

If you want a syrup-like sauce, transfer to another pot and simmer to thicken.

Serve the pears with ice cream or cream.

Enjoy them.
