The research carried out by the British site Cable was taken up with this very topic, while the results were published by the portal "Landgeist".

When it comes to the countries of the Balkan Peninsula, with an internet connection speed of 97.9 Mbps, North Macedonia is in first place.


It is ahead of Slovenia (97 Mbps), Serbia (60.5 Mbps), Kosovo (57.3 Mbps), Greece (53.9 Mbps), Montenegro (49.5 Mbps), Bosnia and Herzegovina (44 Mbps) and Bulgaria (40 Mbps).

The fastest Internet in Europe is on the island of Jersey (264 Mbps), which is located between Great Britain and France, in Liechtenstein (246.8 Mbps) and in Iceland (229.4 Mbps).

Internet speed of 152.5 Mbps is found in France while in the Netherlands 142.5 Mbps, in Spain 133.3 Mbps and in Germany 81.7 Mbps.

The slowest internet in Europe is in Croatia 25.7 Mbps, Albania 25.4 Mbps and Turkey 24.8 Mbps.

The data is based on the analysis of more than 1.5 billion broadband access speed tests in 229 countries during the 12 months ending June 30 this year. /Telegraph/
