Movie-style heists take €1,6 million diamond in Japan - it took guards an hour to figure it out

Japanese police have begun investigations after a 50-carat diamond worth 1,6 million euros was stolen during a jewelry presentation in Yokohama.
"The stolen diamond is estimated to be worth 200 million yen. I think it was stolen from the showcase where it was displayed", said the spokesperson of the Japanese police, Telegrafi reports.
According to public television NHK, the theft at the "Pacifiko" shopping center in Yokohama, near Tokyo, was noticed by an employee of the center when he saw that the window was not properly closed. And just an hour earlier, the diamond had been displayed in this showcase.
Police officials have announced that only this diamond was stolen, while many other jewels that were exposed are not missing.
Meanwhile, the exhibition of these ornaments continues even though the theft was committed in that location /Telegrafi/
