The world's largest zero-emission vehicle has been unveiled at a mine in Africa

After several years to design and manufacture, the first major zero-emission tool has been introduced at a platinum mine in South Africa.

According to foreign media, Telegrafi reports, the truck, which has a "hybrid core" installed and is filled with hydrogen, was produced and designed by the First Mode company based in Seattle.

The nearly ten-meter-tall 200-tonne nuGen hybrid mining truck was also welcomed by South Africa's president, Cyril Ramaphosa.

He was present at the acceptance ceremony in the open platinum mine located in Mogalakwena, which is owned by the company "Anglo American".

"It's a big and wise step for Anglo American, but for South Africa's hydrogen-based economy this is a giant step as we move into the future. The hydrogen-based economy is resonating with our country and putting our name at the top of the industry," Ramaphosa was quoted as saying. /Telegraph/
