The woman who is 'allergic to almost everything' can only eat two things

A Massachusetts woman says she's "allergic to everything" and lives on a diet of oatmeal, but she's still able to do her best.

Caroline Cray, 24, first had an allergic reaction to ice cream in September 2017, going into anaphylactic shock.

Soon after that he had similar reactions to bread and pizza, then he had a serious reaction after eating rice and beans and spent 12 days in an intensive care unit.

"Every day I wondered if I was going to end up in hospital, I had a really tight throat and I was itching and having trouble breathing," she said.

After nearly a year of tests, Cray was diagnosed with mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), a rare chronic disease, the Telegraph reports.

MCAS causes repeated symptoms of severe allergic reactions.

"Oh my God, I'm going to live with this for the rest of my life," Cray said.

Six years after her diagnosis, she can only eat two things – oatmeal and special baby food.

"I'm at the point where my diet is just EleCare and oatmeal," she said, referring to a specific brand of baby food.

"I'll have it for three meals a day and I only eat three times a day because I have to self-medicate beforehand," Cray continued.

In addition, she takes a multitude of medications, including some taken daily, weekly, and monthly.

But despite the dietary restrictions, Cray tries to act as normal as possible, and that includes vacations. /Telegraph/
