US President Joe Biden has gone viral for an accidental joke while addressing a very serious issue – and people can't get over how Vice President Kamala Harris reacted.

The media focused on Biden's words to Harris, who is from California.

"Mrs. Vice President, I know you are directly affected."

After that he used the word "Fire away", which means "start, talk".

And the use of the word "Fire" (which means fire in Albanian) and which seems to have been the reaction on social networks.

But, Biden immediately emphasized that he had not intended to "say it in a different sense".

Commenters on social media were quick to note how Harris handled the situation.

"The look she gave him when she realized," one person wrote.

"Kamala's face says it all," said someone else.

Otherwise, Biden reportedly pledged that the federal government will cover 100% of California disaster relief costs for the next 180 days.

"I told the governor and local officials, spare no expense to contain these fires," Biden said.

"We are with you", he continued, addressing those affected by the fires.

It is reported that the US is "increasing all possible federal resources in Southern California", which includes 400 additional firefighters and over 30 helicopters.

The president also emphasized the need to address climate change.
