Telegraph poll: Bedri Hamza most preferred, Lushtaku second to lead PDK

Following Memli Krasniqi's resignation from the position of chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Telegrafi conducted an online survey to gauge readers' opinion about his potential successor.
In the survey, in which 2,309 voters participated, the majority of them, 39%, estimated that Bedri Hamza should be the next chairman of PDK.
Following him is Sami Lushtaku with 13%, while Agim Aliu and Uran Ismaili have received 11% each. Vlora Çitaku has received 7%, while Shaqir Totaj only 3% of the votes. Meanwhile, 15% of the participants have chosen the "Other" option.
Krasniqi's resignation came after a meeting of the party's Presidency, where he stated that it had been "an honor to lead the PDK" and that the party had overcome many challenges during his leadership.
He resigned five months after being re-elected as party leader for a second term in June this year.

In his speech, he announced that the PDK Convention will be held on November 17, where the new president will be elected.
"This decision is not a spur-of-the-moment decision and is not related only to recent developments. It is my long reflection on what the party needs most in the next phase," he declared.
According to Krasniqi, PDK needs "a new momentum and opportunity for the democratic family."
He added that in the upcoming elections, the PDK candidate for prime minister should also be the party's chairman.
During his leadership, PDK came second in the February 9 parliamentary elections, securing 24 seats in the Assembly with Bedri Hamza as the candidate for prime minister, while in this year's local elections the party won six municipalities, suffering a slight decline compared to previous elections.
