Political analysts have commented on the action of the market inspectors who, in coordination with the Kosovo Police, seized hundreds of liters of oil that were found without documentation in market warehouses.

The action was undertaken last week after the increase in the price of oil, which was made from 1.60 Euro to 3.49 Euro, Telegrafi reports.

Analyst Yll Hoxha said that the intervention was necessary in order to stop the rise in prices.

"There is unethical behavior of economic operators against the economic crisis, and this behavior has gone from raising the price to trying to agree or even hiding the goods themselves to cause a crisis. That there is a need to intervene is indisputable, if we have acted incorrectly, we must create mechanisms that protect the market from these manipulators. There is a need to stop raising the price", he said in Debate Plus of RTV Dukagjini.

Meanwhile, analyst Vehbi Kajtazi declared that the intervention was illegal.

"The intervention is illegal, it is not possible with the police to regulate the state, this is scandalous. Only one operator has increased the price of oil by 3.49 euros. Other operators have had other prices.

We are only talking about one operator, so considering that there have been different oil prices, the Prosecutor's Office has submitted to the state apparatus", he said.

Last week, two oil depots were closed in Fushë Kosovë and Graçanica, and numerous inspections were carried out in markets. /Telegraph/
