Artan Behrami, the former advisor of former president Hashim Thaçi, has called today's raids by the Special Court on the houses of Blerim Shala and Bashkim Smakaj scandalous and unprecedented.
Behrami wrote in a post on Facebook that Blerim Shala was an obstacle only for the Milosevic regime and this regime had arrested him several times.
As for Bashkim Smajkan, Behrami wrote that he is one of the most professional people I know in the field of security, a man who has built many security institutions in Kosovo from the ground up!

The Special Court is fascist because it persecutes, arrests and punishes only Albanians.
The prosecution is in a panic! I am losing every legal battle! While, in an effort to help the prosecution, the court is trying to cover the tragic-comic sessions with spectacles.
The raid on the houses of colleagues, Purchase and Union, is scandalous and unprecedented!
Blerim Shala was only an obstacle for the Milosevic regime and this regime had arrested him several times.
For four decades, Shala has been one of the intellectual figures who has made an indelible contribution to the road to freedom, independence and state building!
Meanwhile, Bashkim Smakaj is one of the most professional people I know in the field of security, a man who has built many security institutions in Kosovo from the ground up!
Now this approach of the prosecution is a clear evidence that there is a tendency to tarnish all Albanians who have contributed to freedom and state building.
My colleagues and I, who have had the honor to cooperate with President Thaçi, are not afraid of the knocks of this prosecution on the doors of our houses.
They don't have police to raid all Albanians, they don't have prosecutors to accuse all Albanians, they don't have prisons to hold all Albanians who defend the liberation war of Kosovo! /Telegraph/
