In the Basic Court in Mitrovica, the detention hearing is being held against the former vice-president of Skenderaj, Nuredin Lushtaku, and other suspects for the attack on two police officials in Skenderaj.
The Basic Prosecutor's Office in Mitrovica elaborated the detention request where it said that it requested this measure because, according to it, the same persons committed the criminal offense together.
According to the prosecution, after the fight that the Lushtaku family had with the police officials, Nuredin Lushtaku, the former vice-mayor of Skenderaj, had sent the gun of the policeman Enver Berisha to the former mayor of the municipality, Bekim Jashari, and then the latter had handed it over to the Police.
The prosecution has said that Nuredin Lushtaku had gone with his two brothers after his son had called them after a sentence that had been imposed by the police officials.
Present at the hearing are the suspect's lawyers for Nuredin Lushtaku, Artan Qerkini and Shyqri Syla, lawyer Agron Hoti for suspect Faton Lushtaku, as well as lawyer Haxhi Millaku for suspect Arif Lushtaku.
Otherwise, the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Mitrovica, on Monday during the day, asked the Basic Court to assign the measure of detention to two suspects in the case of wounding two policemen on Saturday night in Skenderaj, FL and AL, while the former deputy mayor of the Municipality of Skenderaj, Nuredin Lushtaku, has been declared wanted.
After being declared wanted, Lushtaku was handed over to the Police, informs the official.
