After the recent incidents in the north of the country, where the police station and the municipality facility in Zveçan were attacked with hand grenades, the Kosovo Police say they will increase security measures at the country level.
The communique states that, in order to increase public safety and prevent incidents of various natures, the Kosovo Police has increased security measures in the country, including the north of the country where several serious criminal attacks/incidents have occurred in recent days.
"With the planned plans, there will be an increase in police activities to provide more security throughout the country, for all citizens without distinction. "Police operational planning will focus on increasing the police presence in the field, carrying out more patrols in the most critical areas, more checkpoints and increased cooperation with citizens," the communiqué states, Telegrafi reports.
It is further stated that "the police, through operational and intelligent actions, will aim to maintain public order and peace, prevent criminal acts and investigate and bring to justice all those who dare to attack security, law and constitutional order".
The police say that the purpose of police operations will be the safety of citizens, the safety of their property and public and institutional property.
"Given that great help in the realization of police objectives for more security in the country, there is also cooperation with citizens, the police, thanking for the cooperation so far, invites citizens to share with us information that goes in the direction of increasing security for all without distinction".
During the last two days in the north of the country, respectively in Zveçan, the facilities of the police station and that of the Municipality were attacked with hand grenades.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Abin Kurti reacted today by condemning the attacks that are being made against the institutions in the north, until he said that these attacks are only intended to sow fear. /Telegramfi /
