The Philharmonic joins the global campaign against gender-based violence

The Kosovo Philharmonic joins the global campaign "16 days of activism against gender-based violence" through a concert that will be held tomorrow by the choir and orchestra of the Philharmonic in the Red Hall of the Palace of Youth in Pristina.

Mozart's "Requiem" will be performed there, in memory of the women who died and faced the suffering in silence after being tortured and raped in the last war in Kosovo.

The director of the Kosovo Philharmonic, Baki Jashari, in a press conference said that this evening they join the 16-day campaign of activism against violence against women. The conductor of tomorrow's concert, the composer Rafet Rudi, who this year marks his 70th birthday, said that it is an honor for him to carry the weight of this evening as a conductor. Meanwhile, Rozafa Kelmendi from UnWomen also said that tomorrow's work will be a tribute to abused women.
