PDK's proposal for a parliamentary debate on the DASH report does not pass the Assembly, LVV requests a special session

The proposal of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, to introduce the parliamentary debate on the DASH report to the agenda in today's session of the Assembly, has not passed.
26 votes were for, 40 against and one abstention.
The head of the LVV Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, thanked PDK for their proposal to discuss the findings of the DASH report.
However, Kusari-Lila has said that it is good to discuss this report in a separate session.
"We thank PDK for the proposal, of course, and for highlighting a credible DASH report. In addition to the fact of cooperation with the USA as a strategic partner and the credibility of the report, either for the findings of 2024,2023,2022, XNUMX, XNUMX. The findings of this report have always been important. Knowing the importance and weight not only of the elements mentioned by Mr. Tahiri, since he only mentioned government issues, of course, from the position of the opposition, he would not be able to make it different", said Kusari-Lila.
She added that the report talks in detail about the omissions of the justice system from the previous years 2018-2019 in relation to violence against women.
"With a specific murder and the failure of the Basic Court in Gjilan in 2019 to protect a woman from her ex-husband, who after two years has already died. It mentions the violation of workers' rights in the private sector. I mention the cases of former ministers in the trial process, whether in processes that have been prolonged for years", she said.
Kusari-Lila mentioned that the report has some minor statistical omissions.
"There are some small omissions in the statistical reports, in particular with the presence of women in the government, I mention that there is only one deputy prime minister and in fact there are two and not 5 ministers but 6. There are interests found, and we as a parliamentary group propose to schedule a session special where we will talk about this report. Knowing that it is not a report that requires urgency and decision-making today, I propose that in the chairmanship of the assembly we set the date when we will meet and discuss this report", she said.
The head of the LDK Parliamentary Group, Arben Gashi, said that this Assembly should be the place where we discuss these concerns, give our proposals and opinions and issue decisions.
"This institution is at least representative, and then very little is a supervisory institution because this parliamentary majority has deliberately disabled the supervisory function of this Assembly. It has created a situation where when we talk about the problems of our country, we refer to foreign institutions", said Gashi.
He added that the work of the investigation commission for state reserves was deliberately prevented for six months, as well as the creation of several parliamentary investigation commissions.
"We must also talk about media censorship today. I think we should have a debate today", said Gashi.
Even the head of the AAK Parliamentary Group, Besnik Tahiri, said that it would be necessary to discuss the DASH and Freedom House report today.
"In the history of governance in Kosovo, our country and the government have never received a classification so serious and so bad with the situation in our country. Open only the first page of the DASH report. It speaks of a serious corruption in the Government. What more should a DASH report say to address an issue that is so serious", said Tahiri.
He added that this report is the identity card of this government. "We have to discuss this issue", said Tahiri.
After these discussions, the head of the PDK deputies, responded again with Kusari-Lila.
"Dear colleague, I did not mention all of them because it was only a proposal. I think that under no circumstances is there any more important point to discuss on this report. Within three days, the Republic of Kosovo has received two serious blows related to organized crime and corruption. This is worrying and the rejection by vote is a bad message," he said.
E Kusari-Lila responded by saying that "the report is not only read on the first page but on 45 pages". /Telegraph/
