Minister of Justice Igor Filkov visited Idrizova prison after yesterday's incident that happened in the closed infirmary where members of the prison police and prisoners were injured.

As reported by the Ministry of Justice, in a conversation with the director of the prison, Zoran Jovanovski, the minister was informed about the event and the problems faced by the institution, overcrowding, the lack of adequate spatial conditions for accommodation, the lack of medical staff and persons responsible for resocialization.

"After checking the ambulance, 37 metal rods, 21 wooden handles, 3 cables, 12 screws, 15 knives, 4 screwdrivers, a plastic syringe with 2 needles, scissors, pieces of broken glass and 3 mobile phone chargers were found. During the physical confrontation, greater material damage was caused."

"In the coming period, it is necessary to adopt specific measures to improve the conditions and conditions in prisons", says the Minister of Justice.
