The 'narrowest building in the world' is in Italy - it's only 100cm wide and was built to 'spite the neighbour'

A house in the village of Petralia Sottana, which is located in Palermo and is known for the house with the strangest appearance, which is only 100 centimeters wide.

It unofficially holds the title of "narrowest house in the world" and is one of the most unusual tourist attractions in Italy.

Casa du Currivu, known as the "House of the Wild", is believed to have been built in the 1950s when it was common for residents to expand their residences vertically (with the approval of their neighbours).

The two-story building is so narrow that two people can barely pass each other, so the question arises, why does it exist?

The answer lies in the name of the house and legend has it that it was built during a dispute between two neighbors, reports odditycentral.

The owner of the "narrowest house" did not get permission to expand, so he decided to refinance. At a certain distance, he erected an unusual building - just to block the neighbor's view.

Despite this, the house is practically empty and is not intended for living.

Today it is known worldwide and tourists come to Petralia Sottana to see it with their own eyes. /Telegraph/
