The meeting of the Investigative Commission for the process of subsidizing the purchase of school textbooks fails

In the absence of a quorum and non-participation of deputies from the position, the meeting of the Parliamentary Investigative Committee on the process of subsidizing the purchase of textbooks and teaching aids for students of primary education and lower secondary education for the school year 2023 has failed to be held. 2024.

Witnesses Fadile Dyla, general secretary of MASHTI, Avni Rexha, acting director of the Department of Pre-University Education and Genc Hamzaj from the Information Society Agency - ASHI, were scheduled for interview at this meeting.

The Chairman of the Commission, Shemsedin Dereshaj, has said that despite the fact that the deputies from the position have been notified, they are still not present.

"This commission has scheduled the meeting for the fifth time. For today's scheduled meeting, the entire parliamentary group of the position to participate has also been notified via e-mail. For today, it was also planned to invite the candidates Fadile Dyla, Avni Rexha and Genc Hamzaj from ASHI", said Dreshaj.

Meanwhile, the deputy of PDK, Ardian Kastrati, said that this report should be sent to the prosecutor's office to deal with this process of subsidizing school textbooks.

"We are witnessing that, as usual, you do not see the presence of the representatives of the mafia power of VV, the goal is the same, the boycott... This non-presence of the power is an attempt to boycott and complicate the work of the commission and to protect an enemy that it is millions. We should send this report to the prosecutor's office to deal with this process of subsidizing textbooks", said Kastrati.

On the other hand, the deputy from the Democratic League of Kosovo, Agim Veliu, said that it is strange how the invited witnesses did not come.

"In addition to the fact that it was illegal that the law states that students must be provided with textbooks and the government that allocated funds to families was even more expensive, because during the interview facts emerged that many students did not manage to be provided until the end of the semester - the first anniversary and there are cases until the end of the year. For me, it is not surprising why they do not come to the meeting, because they themselves are convinced that there are many violations in this process, which are already part of the report drawn up by the engaged experts of this commission. I am a little surprised why the invited witnesses did not come, why the invited witnesses who several times did not come with the invitation that was repeated and had to be present", said Veliu. /Kp/Telegraph/
