The CEC voted at today's meeting to approve the recommendation for the replacement and appointment of members of the Municipal Election Commissions in two municipalities in the context of the early elections.

The CEC approved the request of Arian Elshani, a member of the PDK, to remove from the agenda the review and approval of the formula for the Polling Station Councils for the December 28 elections, as well as to change the third item on the agenda - the review and approval of the design and content of the ballot, after it was stated that they are awaiting an opinion from legal advisors.

Arianit Elshani, a CEC member from the PDK, said that the replacement and appointment of members takes place in Prizren and North Mitrovica, while the one for Malisheva is returned for review to the Secretariat.

"The Electoral Operations Council has reviewed the request for the replacement and appointment of members of the Municipal Election Commissions and during the review of this recommendation from the Secretariat for three replacements that have also come from political entities, we have agreed that this replacement will be made for two municipalities, Prizren and North Mitrovica, while for one municipality it will be returned for review to the Secretariat with the political entity. So, it is only about the municipalities of Prizren and North Mitrovica," said Elshani.

Gordana Laban, a CEC member from the Serb community, complained about the lack of material regarding the replacement and appointment of members of the Municipal Election Commissions in North Mitrovica, requesting additional clarifications regarding this.

Regarding this, Elshani said that it is about changing the LDK member in the Municipal Election Commission in Prizren from the same entity, while in North Mitrovica the AAK-NISMA member.

Regarding the design of the ballot for the December 28 elections, Elshani said that it will not change much from that of the last parliamentary elections on February 9.

The CEC, at today's meeting, approved the design and content of the ballot outside Kosovo and reviewed the document of requirements and specifications for contracting postal services for voting outside Kosovo.

It was also said that another CEC meeting is expected to be held tomorrow to certify political party candidates for the December 28 elections.
