Caroline Power has taken the disturbing images, which shows a mass of plastic objects that has stretched eight kilometers and floats along the coast of the Honduran island of Roatan.

This enormous pollution has not only damaged the landscape with crystal waters, but also poses a danger to the underwater world that lives in the Caribbean, Telegrafi reports.

"This is just one massif, among the endless formations that are located in this sea," said an environmental expert, who deals with the protection of waters.

Even the coasts along this island were cleaned a while ago, when the pollution was much less.

The extensive use of plastic objects, which are then thrown into the waters in an uncontrolled manner, has led to the creation of this measure again.

"Liquid bottles, soccer balls, toothbrushes, television boxes and shoes are among the main things divers have found in this pile.

Just a little further, there is another massif, extending more than three kilometers. /Telegraph/
