SEASIDE HOUSE

SEASIDE HOUSE

The house by the sea
The house by the sea

I crawl secretly, climb the wall
I scream through the darkness of the night
I enter through the window, I go down to the floor
I look left and right
collect things, put them aside
something is wrong

Someone help me, get me out of here
suddenly from the darkness this is heard:
"Welcome to the house by the sea"

They come out of the beams, through the open door
pushing from above and below
formless shadows, in the forms of men
rush from all directions
wandering around, with eyes full of despair
then all together sigh and groan

Someone help us, get us out of here
we have lived so long on this earth
dreaming of the time when we were free
so many years ago
before we first heard:
"Welcome to the house by the sea"

Sit down, sit down
Sit, sit, sit
as we relive our lives through what we tell you

Images of sadness, images of joy
the things that make up life
endless summer days, long nights of sadness
waiting for the dawn light
trivial scenes, framed pictures
the things that make up life

Someone help us, get us out of here
because we have lived so long on this earth
dreaming of the time when we were free
so many years ago
before we first heard:
"Welcome to the house by the sea"

Sit down, sit down
sit down sit down
as we relive our lives through what we tell you
let us relive our lives through what we tell

Sit, sit, sit
because you will not leave, no, you will stay with us
for the rest of your life, sit down
as we relive our lives through what we tell you
let us relive our lives through what we tell
