The head of the municipality asked the director to work without underwear

The mayor of San Diego, California, Bob Filner, has been accused by seven women of sexual harassment. He accepted the charges, promising to go to a rehabilitation center for two weeks to cure his obsession with women.

A few days ago, Filner's former communications director, Irene McCormack Jackson, filed a lawsuit against him for sexual harassment. She said that the 70-year-old had asked her to work without underwear, because he wanted to see her naked.

After her, several other women in San Diego went public with their detailed accusations on a television show.

The local Democratic Committee voted for the removal of the city leader, but even though he declared that his behavior was inexcusable, the 70-year-old did not resign from his post.

"I am responsible for my behavior and I can take responsibility for it by taking action so that such things do not happen again. So, starting from August 5, I will enter a rehabilitation clinic, to undergo a two-week intensive therapy, in order to find a solution for my behavior", Filner said. /bw/Telegraph/
