Although we all know very well that we cannot stop the aging process, experts assure us that we can try to slow it down.

Many daily habits are linked to a longer life and do not require spending money. One of them – according to The Sun – is reading before going to bed.

A 2016 study showed interesting results revealing that people over 50 who have the habit of reading their favorite book before bed live an average of two years longer than those who don't.

As published in the magazine Social Science & Medicine, scientists studied the reading patterns of more than 3.600 people over the age of 50.

During the 12-year research period, 33 percent of the study participants who did not read and were over this age died, while of the study participants who read on a daily basis, only 27 percent died. /Telegrafi/
