THE GREATNESS OF PEOPLE

THE GREATNESS OF PEOPLE

Poems by: Peter Budi

Where are those generous old men,
that was before us,
and those brave warriors,
quick as lightning?

Where are they young man,
beautiful and blooming,
that you saw with your eyes,
did we speak with them?

where are those gentlemen
that they love with God
in fame and grandeur,
did we go this night?

Where are those emperors?
the whole century nalcuom,
topped with a wreath
What are the stones worth?

Where are the paper ones?
sage of knowledge we hear you,
white as snow
Did you sing your letter?

Where are those young women?
in fame and grandeur,
with the silky petals
nalcuom do you sir?

All death overthrew them,
as if cutting them with a sword,
for a young man he did not look at them,
neither poor nor prosperous.
