The gas cylinder explodes in Veternik, two people end up in KKUK

Two people are being treated at the Emergency Clinic of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) from injuries received from the explosion of a gas cylinder in a car wash, next to a fuel pump in the Veternik neighborhood of Pristina.

Agron Borovci, spokesperson of the Kosovo Police for the Prishtina Region, said that around 16:00, information was received about an explosion in Veternik in Pristina.

"The police went to the scene and based on the first information, it is suspected that the explosion came from a gas cylinder. From the information so far, it is known that two people have suffered injuries", said Borovci.


According to him, the Police and other competent mechanisms are investigating this case.

The doctor in charge at the Emergency Clinic, Nerxhivane Kadriu, said that the condition of the injured is out of danger and that their treatment is continuing.

"They are currently stable. We have not yet completed all the examinations. Before the case is over, I can't say he was injured there and then something else comes out. Yes, they are out of danger for their lives", said Kadriu, for KP.

Based on the uniform he was wearing, he was identified as a worker at this car wash. While the other person who is less injured, it is not known if he is a worker in this car wash or not.

The Kosovo Police immediately arrived at the scene, while the injured persons have already been sent to the Emergency Clinic to receive medical treatment.
