Naomi Watts certainly knows a thing or two about honoring fashion icons. The actress is portraying former First Lady Jackie Kennedy and is fully committed to honoring the icon through her style.

At the series premiere, Watts wore a glamorous, draped gown with glittery details around the neck, paired with white elbow-length gloves. With this spectacular look by Balenciaga, Watts, 57, paid homage to many of Jackie O's elegant evening looks. So it's no surprise that Watts has also embraced Jackie O's iconic street style.

Watts was photographed in New York on February 5 wearing an elegant gray wool suit from the brand Gia Studio, along with one of Jackie O's favorite accessories: a silk headscarf, elegant, refined and tasteful.

Her outfit consisted of a long, belted jacket and wide-leg pants. She opted for white accessories, pairing a retro white bag with white heels. Her silk scarf, tied under her chin, was also white with a navy blue border. She completed the look with a pair of round brown sunglasses, the kind that Jackie O would surely approve of. As her stylist Jeanann Williams wrote on Instagram, she was “totally giving off a Jackie vibe,” reports the Telegraph.

“American Love Story” follows the romance and tragic death of Jackie Kennedy's son, JFK Jr., and his wife Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Last year, Watts was seen on the set of the series with a brown bob haircut, as she was getting into her role.

Preparing to portray such an iconic figure required "a lot of practice," she said in an interview with Today"I think, obviously, she's incredibly popular. One of the most impressive First Ladies," she continued, adding that it was "a great privilege" to portray her.. /Telegraph/
