Any new model sold in China must receive approval from the Ministry of Industry. As part of the homologation process of the Volvo EM90 minivan, pictures are published on the ministry's website before the market launch.

In some situations, the design of the car appears weeks before the official premiere. One such case is the EM90, the first van from Volvo that showed its "face" in the photos that were published by the Chinese, Telegrafi reports.

As expected, this electric minivan is based on the Chinese Zeekr 009 model, but the exterior fits Volvo's design. Zeerk is a brand of the Geely company that is owned by Volvo.

The rear end has also been modified to better suit Volvo's "philosophy", but it can be said that they are two mini-vans that are visually very similar. The Volvo EM90 looks like the Zeekr 009 model.

In addition to the published photos, some technical specifications have also been revealed. According to information published on the ministry's website, the 90 Volvo EM2024 is 5.206 mm long, 2.024 mm wide and 1.859 mm high.

It will be offered in the market with 19- and 20-inch wheel options, while the cabin can accommodate 6 passengers in three rows of seats. The total mass of the motor vehicle is 2.763 kilograms. /Telegraph/
