The fire in Mariovë in Prilep last night escalated, today there are more than 190 professionals on the ground
The fire which broke out a few days ago in the territory of Mariova i Prilep escalated yesterday. At one point the line of fire was longer than 20 kilometers. For these reasons, the Crisis Staff of the Municipality of Prilep met yesterday, announced the director of the Center for Crisis Management, Stojançe Angelov.
As Angelov informed, more measures and activities have been agreed for today.
"Early in the morning, 25 policemen, 70 members of the army, 40 employees of the National Forests and more than 60 firefighters arrived at the site of the fire. More than 195 professionals are in the rural area.
"Due to the reduced visibility, dense smoke, the use of the helicopter is not possible. Even the DMSH air tractor would not be able to work if the conditions do not improve", added Angelov.
A total of 27 fires fell in the territory of the state yesterday, of which 4 are active, two are under control and 21 have been completely extinguished./Telegrafi/
