The Ministry of Health has announced that all the procedures for the supply of insulin have already been completed, and that from today and the following days, the distribution of insulin to patients with diabetes will continue in the Main Centers of Family Medicine.
"All the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo are informed that after opening the legal channels, the Ministry of Health has completed all the procedures for the supply of insulin, and that from today and the following days, the distribution of insulin to patients with diabetes will continue in the Main Centers to Family Medicine", it is stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Health.
Otherwise, nearly 30 thousand is the number of citizens of Kosovo affected by diabetes, who for several months now cannot be supplied with insulin in public health institutions.
Apart from the Municipality of Pristina, which managed to provide insulin for five months for its patients with diabetes from its budget, as well as the Association of People Affected by Diabetes in Peja, which provided vaccines for children with diabetes in this municipality, patients in the municipalities others were being supplied as best they could, in private pharmacies, or even abroad.
The Association of Municipalities of Kosovo, in the last meeting with the Minister of Health Arben Vitia, requested that the supply of essential drugs, especially insulin, but also with other materials be made in the shortest possible time.
Vitia had promised about a week ago that the supply of vaccines will start soon. /Telegraph/
