Naim Rrustemi from the Workers' Union in the Basic Court regarding the reduction of work in the Palace of Justice as a lack of air conditioning has said that the difficult situation has been continuous since 2014 when the facility was inaugurated.

According to him, the malfunction of the air conditioning in this facility makes the high temperatures impossible to work.

"The serious situation has been continuous since 2014 when the facility was inaugurated. The malfunction of the air conditioning in this facility makes the high temperatures impossible to work", said Rrustemi.

He has said that the lack of air in the facility is enormous and this, in addition to affecting the workers, as he says, also affects the citizens.

Otherwise, from Wednesday, July 26, the work at the Palace of Justice will be reduced.

This was announced by the chairman of the Judicial Council of Kosovo (KJC), Albert Zogaj, who said that during the day he will authorize the presidents of the Courts who work in the building to decide on the reduction of work, in areas where temperatures are high .

After the meeting with the presidents of the Courts, he said that they came to this decision, after the difficult situation in the palace and that they did not want to stop all the work.

Zogaj further said that despite the many requests they made to the responsible institutions, they fell on deaf ears.

On Tuesday, the KJC addressed an open letter to the leaders of Kosovo's institutions, warning each of them of the interruption of work due to high temperatures and the lack of air conditioning in the Palace of Justice.

In the letter addressed to the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, the Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Svecla, the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murat and the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, the KJK says that the employees in the Palace of Justice are working in alarming conditions. /Dukagjin/
