The call to groups of 'Telegram' to damage the equipment of the Kosovo Police in the north, says Minister Sveçla

In a group on the social network "Telegram", in which the Serbian language is spoken and the main topic is the security situation in the north of Kosovo, last night (29.11.2024), a call was made to the citizens.

Some devices of the Kosovo Police - which in the message sent to this group are said to be wireless cameras - were requested to be broken.

"Citizens are requested, especially those who are willing to support the further fight against the occupier, to break and remove these devices for wireless cameras (wireless cameras)! This will facilitate us and give us space for further actions! They are mainly located in trees and do not have cables", says this message.

A photo that appears to have been taken at night was attached to this message, which was sent to the group on 29.11.2024/11/40 at XNUMX:XNUMX a.m., just before noon.

On the same day, in the evening, the terrorist attack with explosives that damaged the water channel of Ibër-Lepenci in Zubin Potok was carried out.

About this issue, KALLXO.com asked the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xelal Sveçla, during the extraordinary conference held after the terrorist attack.

"The institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in the north are continuously attacked, last year we had about 107 attacks on the Police, their property, their work tools are continuously attacked by these terrorist elements, including the call to attack its members or equipment that the Police use" - said the minister.

He further added that he is aware of this message that was sent to the group, but that he does not have any other information.

"I am aware of the case that you are mentioning, we really do not have any information that they have succeeded in this case, despite the fact that the call for criminal resistance or the call that damaged the assets of either the Police or critical of the state of Kosovo is a serious criminal offense and definitely punishable", stated the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Minister Sveçla, together with the general director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, held a press conference where they told about several raids that were carried out today, on 30.11.2024, in the north of the country.

A significant number of weapons, military equipment and other equipment has been found during these raids in the north.

So far, as the Minister and the Director of Police have announced, eight people have been arrested and escorted to police stations.

An explosion occurred on 29.11.2024 in the Ibër-Lepenci water channel in the village of Vrragë in the municipality of Zubin Potok.

The government of Kosovo says that this attack was directed and orchestrated by Serbia and carried out by professionals. The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has confirmed that the first arrests have already been made in connection with this case. This attack has been condemned by the United States of America and the European Union.

The High Representative of the European Union, Joseph Borrel, has called the explosion in the water channel of Ibër Lepenci in Varaga of Zubin Potok a terrorist attack.

The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, announced on 30.11.2024 that despite the damage caused by the explosion in the Ibër-Lepenci canal, they managed to provide electricity for the country through the installation of six temporary pipes, with sufficient capacity to provide water for the cooling of the "Kosova B" thermal power plant.

For this issue, the Security Council of Kosovo held an extraordinary meeting at 1:30 am today (30.11.2024), where it discussed this explosion. The meeting, according to a press release, discussed the possible connection of yesterday's case with a similar Russian attack in Ukraine last week.

In this meeting, the emergency measures that were taken and are being taken to mitigate the consequences of the attack and to guarantee the safety of the critical infrastructure in the country were also discussed.

Meanwhile, teams of the NATO Peacekeeping Mission in Kosovo, KFOR, went on 30.11.2024 to the scene where the explosion took place. /Kallxo.com/
