The bus overturns and falls into the river, 25 people die in Peru
In a traffic accident in the north of Peru, 25 people lost their lives and 13 others were injured, the local authorities announced today.
The bus was traveling in the town of Sorochuro on Sunday night when it overturned and ended up in the river, Olga Bobadulla, prosecutor in the Cajamarca region, reported to Telegrafi.
"The first information is still being collected from the place where the accident happened", added Bobadilla.
The local media reports that the town where the accident happened has announced that three days of mourning have been announced to honor the victims of this terrible accident.
Accidents in Peru have become almost commonplace, with dozens of people losing their lives in September and at least 24 others ending up on the precipice or falling off the rocks during January of this year. /Telegraph/
