The biggest TV ever, Sony PVM-4300 with "back" weighed 200 kilograms

The Sony PVM-4300 is believed to be the largest single cathode ray tube television and was created in 1989.

Sony stated in advertisements that inside the TV was a 43-inch tube and weighed 200 kilograms, Telegrafi reports.

This device couldn't fit through a standard door – although on the other hand, who would want such a monstrosity in the living room?

It cost $40, no discount, and had to pay extra for the speakers.

The website Boing Boing, which wrote about this TV, did not specify how many were sold.

If that doesn't sound huge, imagine what it was like when someone tried to move this TV. /Telegraph/
