Actress Anne Heche dies, a week after the infamous car accident

Anne Heche passed away today in a Los Angeles hospital, one week after the infamous car accident.

The 53-year-old is being mourned by many Hollywood names, including her ex-girlfriend, Ellen De Generes, writes Dailymail.

Heche, who has struggled with drug addiction for years, was told by police that she had snorted a lot of cocaine while driving.

During the accident, she drove her car into Lynne Mishele's house, leaving the woman in question with unspecified but serious injuries.

The actress' staff yesterday said she would not survive; she was declared brain dead yesterday.

Her family kept her alive on a ventilator while doctors collected her organs for donation until Friday. /Telegraph/
