Spain has returned after its 40-day trip to Germany and with much fanfare, with the trophy in the hands of Alvaro Morata, after the 2-1 victory over England in the final of Euro 2024. The first stop was the royal palace.
The Spanish team presented the trophy to King Felipe, Queen Letizia and his two daughters, Princess Leonor and Princess Sofia, where they thanked the King for his support throughout the tournament.
It was King Felipe who presented Morata with the trophy in Berlin less than 24 hours ago.
In particular, princesses Leonor and Sofia greeted the team with Dani Olmos jerseys, while Gavi was also in the royal palace, who was part of the celebrations.
After being received by the royal family, they went to the government buildings in La Moncloa, where Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez thanked them for showing the best side of Spain.
The Spanish team is currently en route in an open bus to the Cibeles Fountain, where they will be greeted by a crowd of fans and will speak to the crowds gathered there. /Telegraph/
