The Japanese ambassador in Kukes is familiar with the tourism potential of the region

Bilateral cooperation with a focus on tourism was at the center of the meeting that the Japanese Ambassador to Tirana, Makoto Ito, held in the municipality of Kukës.

During the conversation with the mayor Bashkim Shehu, it was discussed about the possibilities of cooperation in different fields, with tourism as a priority.

The Japanese ambassador spoke about possible areas of cooperation.


"It should be emphasized the proximity to Tirana and the central government, having the highway, and secondly, the beautiful nature that the Kukes region offers and the development opportunities it offers for the region. Having a beautiful nature, there are good opportunities to develop tourism", he said, writes Ora News.

For his part, the mayor of Kukës, Bashkim Shehu emphasized that cooperation with the Government of Japan is important for the Municipality of Kukës.

"We are cooperative, the citizens of Kukës have always shown that they are hospitable and cooperative either for the Agencies or for the serious investors that the cooperation and lobbying that the Ambassador who is already in Albania can bring."

Ambassador Ito underlined that the purpose of his visit was to get to know the potential of the Kukes region.
