The "Hollande" affair: The first lady of France, still in the hospital

France's first lady, Valerie Trierweiler, remains in hospital after a French magazine published news that French President Francois Hollande is having an affair.

She had to leave the hospital today, but the doctors have advised her to stay still because of the rest she needs.

Trierweiler went to the hospital on Friday, shortly after "Closer" magazine announced that Hollande is having an affair with actress Julie Gayet.

The president and Trierweiler have been together since 2007.

The president's conference scheduled for Tuesday regarding the economy will now focus on Hollande's private life, international media write.
