Denmark has been eliminated from the European Championship 'Euro 2024' after being defeated by Germany with a score of 2-0.

Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand expressed his anger after two crucial VAR decisions went against his side, leading to their elimination from Euro 2024 by Germany.

"I have to congratulate Germany, but the match was decided by two VAR decisions. I have the picture on my phone here. It's offside by a centimeter."

"And I'm so tired of the ridiculous rule of handball. We can't make our defenders run with their hands behind their backs. It's disappointing. It's not how football is supposed to be."

"I'm not against VAR, but we have to be faster and improve it. In my opinion, the decision should be as clear as the moon and not as we saw it today", stated Hjulmand.

First, Joachim Andersen's goal was disallowed because Thomas Delaney was slightly offside by semi-automated technology.

A few moments later, Andersen turned into a tragic face when he touched the ball with his hand and the referee, after looking at the case in VAR, awarded a penalty to the Germans.

Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann admitted he would be frustrated if such a decision went against his team.

"It was a wild game. I understand why Denmark is upset. The penalty decision is harsh, but that's the rule. Andersen did not touch the ball intentionally. I would also be upset if it were the other way around, but I have to accept it," declared Nagelsmann. /Telegraph/
