At the age of 90, the well-known singer Rudolf Stambolli has died. The artist regarded as the king of tango, until the 1960s recorded over 35 songs in Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Russia, which will be passed down from generation to generation.

Born in Tirana and raised in Shkodër, he got his start with Pjetër Gac's satirical song, "Song of Salep".

He was part of the first Albanian light music group, "Havajana". While, with the rhythms of tango, he recorded one of the most beautiful Albanian songs, "When the leaves fall in autumn".


Istanbul's active career, which began in 1946, did not last long. In 1963, he participated in the second edition of the Albanian Public Radio and Television Festival with the song "I will sing for love", then giving up music to continue working as a technician for telephone exchanges at the Post-Telegraph Telephone Plant.
