Tesla ordered a halt to the construction of the network's parking lot with solar panels in Berlin

Tesla is again clashing with government officials in Germany over a project based on Giga Berlin. The EV maker plans to install an array of solar panels on the factory's parking lots, but is facing bureaucratic roadblocks.

Authorities from the Oder-Spree district halted construction earlier this week. The reason for this lies in the fact that Tesla placed 104 pins on the construction site without any approval. Officially, Tesla had to get approval before placing the pins, which are made of concrete and are 1 meter long.

as golem.de, the German newspaper that reported on the work stoppage, initially assumed that the project in question needed approval, district authorities have said they assume the stakes will not interfere with groundwater quality in the area, reports a media outlet. Canadian, Telegrafi reports.

Elon Musk was outraged by the case, since in the post in which he shared the news, he only wrote "sigh".

Tesla faced many obstacles during the construction of the factory, especially regarding the waters and fauna of the area. It also faced several delayed permits before finally getting the green light to open the plant in March 2022.

The company's application for factory expansion was approved by the German authorities last December.

Some residents of the area have come out in support of the latest stoppage of works. A representative for the Association for Nature and Landscape in Brandenburg commented on the case saying: “It has been confirmed that the monitoring of the construction site in the water area is completely inadequate, and apparently Tesla can do what they want. The construction of the factory in the water protection zone was a political mistake". /Telegraph/
